Abstract

Technological advancements today are highly influential and deeply embedded in everyday human activities, especially the internet. Many people use the internet daily, and it has almost become a backbone for operations ranging from community activities to large corporations. This need for the internet necessitates that it operates without issues in any condition. However, connectivity does not always run smoothly. There are many complaints about slow networks, unresponsiveness, and other issues that can actually occur because the network is not optimized to handle requests. This can be related to the lack of integration of load balancing or the inappropriate selection of algorithms. This research aims to analyze the quality of service from the implementation of the round-robin load balancing algorithm compared to least connection. From the load testing, it was found that round-robin yielded superior results, though not significantly, compared to least connection, even though it operated in an environment that was less suitable and advantageous for round-robin due to uniformity and less dynamic traffic.
