Abstract

The Faculty of Computer Science at UPN Veteran Jakarta receives a large number of incoming and outgoing letters, requiring a system to assist in correspondence related tasks. Therefore, a document archive information system needs to be developed. Archiving letters involves recording both incoming and outgoing letters received and sent. Currently, the procedures applied in managing incoming and outgoing letters at the Faculty of Computer Science, UPN Veteran Jakarta, including reception, creation, storage, and documentation of letters, are all done conventionally. The document archive information system aims to reduce difficulties and time spent on data retrieval processes and improve the management of existing letter archiving. This document e-archive information system is developed using PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and MySQL for database processing. The outcome of this research is to produce an information system that can manage incoming and outgoing letters according to the established flow and address the current issues. The development method used in this research is the Waterfall method, which allows for structured and sequential system development from analysis, design, coding, testing, to implementation.
