Abstract

In the context of globalization and digital economic growth, the phenomenon of freelancers (freelancers) becomes increasingly prominent and reflects significant changes in the labor market structure, so that it becomes a driver to choose a more flexible and autonomous career path, including technological advances and the desire to have control on the work schedule and personal career. With a significant growth in freelance job markets in Indonesia, a job provider website is needed for freelancers to facilitate their needs. Freelancers need a website that provides freelance jobs to get a job and can work flexibly. There are respondents who have tried the same work exchange website but do not like the flow/plot on the website, namely respondents prefer to find work and then apply for a job, rather than selling services/expertise owned by freelancers, and respondents want a live chat feature To be easy in the communication process. This study aims to design and build a website-based freelance job recruitment information system with web socket technology on live chat features, to help freelancers find projects that suit their expertise and improve the efficiency of real-time communication with employers. Using the Agile method as SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), this research involves identifying problems, data collection, pieces analysis, and system development starting from design with UML, coding using javascript, to testing with the Black-Box method. The results of this study are a website "Flexi Jobs Hire" which has various features to meet freelancer needs, including web-based live chat features.
