Abstract

Background: Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an acute respiratory infection which is the main cause of morbidity and mortality in the world which can cause various asymptomatic diseases, mild infections to severe and deadly diseases. The prevalence of ISPA in Depok among children under five had a prevalence of 32.08% in 2018. 300 different strains of bacteria, viruses and rickets are the root of ISPA. Method: This paper was carried out using the case study method of Nursing Care for Children with ISPA in the Children's Inpatient Room at Khidmat Sehat Afiat Hospital, Depok City. Data collection through interviews, observation, physical examination and documentation. Results: The nursing diagnoses found were ineffective airway clearance, hyperthermia and readiness for health management. The intervention carried out is monitoring respiration by monitoring the frequency, rhythm, depth and effort of breathing, monitoring breathing patterns, monitoring body temperature. The intervention carried out is warm compresses, preparing a comfortable environment and collaboration in administering antipyretic drugs and anticipatory guidance with actions involving the family and facilitation of deciding to resolve the problem. Carry out implementation in accordance with the interventions that have been made previously. In addition, the author has implemented respiration monitoring and carried out evaluations. Within 3 x 24 hours, the problem of ineffective airway can be resolved. Conclusion: Implementation has been carried out with An. R based on nursing care can be indicated by decreased sputum production
