Abstract
The development of the business industry in Indonesia shows a positive trend with the emergence of various commercial entities, including wedding venue rental service providers. In Jakarta, the number of people getting married continues to increase every year, with the majority of weddings taking place in wedding halls. However, this development is hampered by obstacles such as limited land to hold a wedding party at home and the difficulty of prospective brides and grooms in choosing a wedding venue that suits their needs. This research aims to develop a web-based decision support system using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to help prospective brides and grooms in choosing a wedding venue in the Jakarta area. By utilizing a pre-research questionnaire which shows that 58% of prospective brides and grooms have difficulty choosing a wedding venue, it is hoped that this system can provide the information needed to simplify the decision-making process. Criteria such as rental price, facilities, strategic location, guest capacity, and parking capacity will be considered in this system. The research results show that the system developed can function well and provide consistent calculation results and high accuracy values.
