Abstract
East Java Province has an income inequality level that is only one point below the national average with a province that has the largest number of regencies/cities compared to other provinces in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of HDI, TPAK, GRDP per capita and poverty variables on Regency / City Income Inequality in East Java Province in 2013-2022. This study uses a saturated sampling technique with 29 districts and 9 cities with the period 2013-2022 so that the number of observations in this study is 380 data. The data is secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The data processing method used is panel data regression with the selected model, namely the Random effect model. The results of this study indicate that HDI and TPAK have a significant effect on Regency /City Income Inequality in East Java Province in 2013-2022. Meanwhile, GRDP per capita and poverty showed an insignificant effect on the income inequality of districts /cities in East Java Province in 2013-2022.
