Abstract
Investment has an important role in the economy, namely in creating jobs and economic productivity. One important form of investment is Domestic Investment (PMDN). This research seeks to determine and analyze the relationship between PMDN and macroeconomic variables. This research uses data obtained from the required official websites, such as BPS, World Bank, BKPM and the Ministry of Trade. The data used is PMDN as the dependent variable and Inflation, Interest Rates, GDP and Exchange Rates as independent variables with a time span of 2011 quarter-I to 2022 quarter-IV. This research uses the Error Correction Model (ECM) method with the help of Stata 14 and Microsoft Excel tools. The results of this research show that in the long term the exchange rate has a positive and significant effect, while inflation and GDP have no effect and are not significant and interest rates have a negative and insignificant effect. In the short term, the exchange rate has a positive and significant effect, GDP and inflation have no effect and are not significant, interest rates have a negative and insignificant effect. Overall, the Exchange Rate, GDP, Interest Rates and Inflation have a simultaneous influence on PMDN in the long term and not simultaneously in the short term.
