Abstract
Efforts to improve education can be carried out by non-profit institutions, one of which is by collecting and distributing the collected social funds to beneficiaries. However, in fact the allocation of these funds to the education sector has not been fully optimal. So that the problem of education for orphans, orphans and poor people who are not financially well off is not yet fully prosperous. Apart from that, education can be used as a first step in achieving benefits in the Islamic legal order, namely known as maqashid sharia. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the distribution of social funds in the educational program of the PAY & Do IT foundation, namely the Laskar Langit Scholarship and viewed from a maqashid sharia perspective. This research uses qualitative methods, with a case study analysis approach. Data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are the data analysis techniques used. The results of this research show that the distribution mechanism for the Laskar Langit Scholarship implemented by the PAY & Do IT foundation has been categorized as effective because it has met the indicators of target accuracy, program socialization, program objectives, and program monitoring. As for the distribution of the scholarship program, if we look at the maqashid sharia indicators based on Al-Ghazali's theory, it has fulfilled the five aspects, such as protecting religion, soul, mind, lineage and property, which have been proven to have a positive influence and also run effectively.
