Abstract
Many issuers experienced suspension due to changes in stock prices. Suspension is a punishment given by the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) to issuers who violate regulations by temporarily suspending stock trading. Many Gen Z investors do not understand the disadvantages of investing, one of which is suspension. After being unsuspended, a company will still experience losses, especially for investors, by declining stock prices. This research aims to find out and understand the reasons why a company can experience a significant increase and decrease in cumulative stock prices and investor protection after the suspension of being allowed to resume activities by the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). The method used is normative juridical through a statutory approach with Law Number 21 of 2011 concerning OJK, POJK RI Number 6/POJK.07/2022, Law Number 8 of 1995 concerning Capital Markets, and Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning PT. The research shows that there are internal and external factors that cause company stock prices to rise and fall. Apart from that, investors can file a lawsuit against the issuer while still considering the OJK assessment, not just a consumer request as a form of protection.
