Abstract

Poverty is a common problem in Indonesia but is still complex, poverty often occurs, especially in rural areas, social inequality is also widely seen in various regions in Indonesia. As one solution, the community actually needs empowerment support in the economic sector, one party that makes this possible and can be used as an intermediary is Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, the government is starting to consider establishing a Micro Waqf Bank at each Islamic boarding school as the organizer of BWM because the government considers Islamic boarding schools to be the party most connected to rural communities. The government appointed Islamic boarding schools as organizers of BWM so that Islamic boarding schools have a greater role in the lives of the surrounding community so that indirectly a stronger bond will be formed between the two parties as well as empowering poor local communities in obtaining business capital. The population in this research is BWM As'ad customers with 135 respondents using the Purposive Sampling technique, who are active customers. This research uses a quantitative approach through questionnaires and data analysis with SPSS23. The data was tested using validity & reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests and hypothesis tests. The research results show that financing, procedures and appropriate use of funds have a significant effect on customer welfare.
