Abstract

Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, approximately 86.7% of the total population in 2022. However, contrary to the percentage of Muslims in Indonesia, the levels of literacy and financial inclusion in Sharia remain relatively low, at 9.14% in 2022. Based on previous research, one of the causes is the lack of education about Sharia finance. Through this issue, the researcher identified a lack of financial education regarding transactions that are essential for every company, namely the purchase order. Additionally, there has been no research on purchase orders from the perspective of Islamic Economics. Therefore, this research aims to understand the implementation of contracts in the purchase orders of PT Segara Artha Investama (SAI) aligns with Sharia Economics, intending to serve as an educational source on Sharia finance. In this study, a qualitative descriptive research method with a case study approach. The research data includes primary sources such as observations, interviews, and documentation, as well as secondary sources from literature studies. The research findings indicate a correlation between purchase order transactions and their implementation in salam and istishna' contracts. These findings can contribute to the academic community and serve as a reference for other researchers.
