Abstract
Banks gather and distribute funds with the aim of generating net interest income. Generally, when Third Party Funds (DPK) increase, net interest income also increases and vice versa. This is because there is the same potential for the size of credit disbursements. Therefore, the purpose of this writing is to determine the level of third party funds, loans, and net interest income. The method used in this writing is descriptive quantitative. The type of data is secondary data, sourced from the Annual Financial Report taken over the last 5 years, from 2018-2022. Data collection is conducted through documentation methods and literature study. The results of this analysis show that the total DPK gathered by Maybank in a certain period of time does not always generate the same pattern on the obtained net interest income, in 2019, despite a decrease of 5.32% in third-party funds and 8.08% in credits, Maybank managed to increase its net interest income by 0.84%. However, in 2020, although third-party funds increased by 3.98%, the amount of credits decreased by 14.12%, resulting in an 11.12% decline in net interest income. Then, in 2021, there was a decrease of 0.09% in third-party funds and 3.32% in credits, which also led to a decrease in net interest income by 1.96%. On the other hand, in 2022, despite an 8.00% decrease in third-party funds, credits actually increased by 5.94%, resulting in a 1.29% increase in net interest income.
