Abstract
The process of submitting a pawn (rahn) of gold at an Islamic bank is fairly easy, so that this product is one that is of interest to the wider community today. However, it is necessary to know in advance the suitability of its implementation with the concept of sharia compliance with gold rahn transactions at Islamic banks. This study aims to analyze the mechanism of implementation and suitability of sharia compliance in gold rahn products at Bank Jabar Banten Syariah KC Jakarta Soepomo. In this study using qualitative methods with the type of case study. Data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and generating conclusions or judgments are the data analysis techniques used. The results of this study indicate that the operational mechanism of the gold rahn product at Bank BJB Syariah KC Jakarta Soepomo consists of several stages, namely financing application transactions, financing settlement transactions, financing extension transactions, and collateral sales transactions. The implementation of sharia compliance in the gold rahn product at Bank BJB Syariah KC Jakarta Soepomo is in accordance with the sharia compliance indicators, DSN-MUI fatwa, and AAOIFI Sharia Standard related to gold rahn. Thus, it is hoped that this research can be useful for the product development system of Bank Jabar Banten Syariah KC Jakarta Soepomo in particular to maintain the suitability of implementing sharia compliance with the gold rahn product.
