Abstract
ABSTRACT The thesis, entitled Responsibility for Criminal Exploitation of Protected Wildlife Business, contains, First, the factors of the occurrence of criminal acts of illegal wildlife trade in Indonesia that violate the rights and health of these animals, Secondly analyzing the verdict on wildlife trade and illegal ownership. The results of this study show that it is important to protect wildlife that are part of an ecosystem protected from extinction. Wildlife trade also does not escape the rule of law, community factors, and also economic factors. In the Criminal Code and outside the Criminal Code such as Law Number 5 of 1990 concerning The Conservation of Biological Natural Resources and Their Ecosystems) and several related rules. However, there are still many people who violate it for the benefit of their own economy or their class, so the presence of these rules does not have a significant impact on animal welfare, because what often happens is that humans still do not pay attention to animal welfare.
