Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the role of the Public Prosecutor in perfecting case files and the process of uncovering criminal acts of corruption that began with illegal levies. The research method used is normative juridical with a statutory approach. The results of the study can show that the role of the Public Prosecutor in improving the case files of corruption cases originating from the crime of illegal payments is based on the provisions of Article 30 paragraph (1) b of the Prosecutor's Law in receiving and examining investigative case files as part of the prosecution process in determine the type of crime and the severity of criminal penalties for perpetrators of criminal acts of corruption beginning with the crime of illegal levies. The process of uncovering criminal acts of corruption that begins with illegal levies begins with an investigation by the Prosecutor's Office and the Police to be transferred to the Public Prosecutor through the preprosecution and prosecution process until the imposition of a criminal that has permanent legal force. At the stage of resolving cases of criminal acts of corruption that began with criminal acts of illegal levies carried out by the Prosecutor's Office in accordance with the provisions of criminal law and criminal procedural law, the prosecutor's law, and the corruption law
