Abstract
The largest waste producer in West Java Province is in Depok City at 594,215.17 tons per year 2021 with market waste being at the third level with a percentage of 14.01%. Problems that occur due to waste willnot be separated from problems of knowledge, attitudes, actions and availability of facilities in the market. This study aims to determine the determinants of waste management at the stage of housing the Kemiri Muka Market, Depok City, West Java in 2022. The research method is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional study design. A total of 98 traders of Pasar Kemiri Muka were involved in this study which were obtained using the Accidental Sampling technique. Data were analyzed by chi-square test. The results of the analysis show the relationship in the availability of facilities (p�value = 0.000) has a significant relationship with waste management. Meanwhile, knowledge (p-value = 0.342), attitude (p-value = 0.412), and actions (p-value = 0.90) have no relationship with waste management. Therefore, to increase the participation of traders in terms of waste management by providing a strong, waterproof and covered container and reminding each other between traders in protecting the environment of the trading area and disposing of waste in place.
