Abstract
Extremism trauma or can be called loss of constitution to the bone, is determined by its type and extent, based in part on the top or bottom. Among the manifestations such as swelling, bruising, muscle spasms, tension, abnormal movements, neurovascular changes, bone fragments and also pain where the pain in a fracture patient is always concurrent, the intensity and severity of the pain will vary with each client and is usually constant. Pain can be treated in various ways, starting with pharmacological methods by using anti-pain drugs such as aspirin, mother profen, ketorolak, acetone and others while non-pharmacological methods such as benzene relaxation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Benson's relaxation on fracture patients who feel pain despite pharmacological therapy and to make the patient independent to reduce pain in Tarakan Hospital. The number of respondents involved in this study were 2 people with 1 person being given the intervention while the others were not given the intervention. Measurement of pain level was used on a numerical scale and pain assessment by PQRST. Studies have produced significant differences in patients who have received Benson relaxation in pain, so the authors recommend that it be applied as a complementary therapy.
