Abstract
The entry of the coronavirus into Indonesia, the government declared the epidemic a national calamity and implemented a slew of laws that contributed to the country's economic collapse, which hurt businesses that were compelled to lay off staff. This is unquestionably harmful to workers who rely on their paychecks to live their lives. Despite the government's best efforts, it is confident that laid-off workers will be able to meet their demands. Workers should be able to maintain a decent life after not working, according to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 11 of 2020 on job creation and the government regulation No. 37 of 2021 on job loss guarantee. (1) How is the fulfiment laid-off employed in accordance with Law No. 11 of the Republic of Indonesia of 2020 and Government Regulation No. 37 of 2021? (2) What penalties are imposed on employers who fail to meet their obligations? This study is normative. The Statute Approach employs judicial research in conjunction with the problem approach strategy. The government also imposes strict penalties on employers who comply with their obligations in accordance with the regulations.
