Abstract

Impeller in centrifugal pumps in electrical submersible pump devices plays a very vital role. The design of the impeller will affect the pump's performance such as an increase in fluid pressure to the efficiency of the pump. This study aims to obtain an optimal efficiency value at the pump from each change in the number of blades and diameter value of the impeller hub. The method used in this research is simulation. The value obtained from the simulation will be processed by changing the number of blades and the diameter of the hub. simulations performed using the CFD application. The best efficiency obtained from the simulation results is 90.09%. Changes to specifications are made by changing the number of impeller blades and hub diameter. The performance results obtained will certainly be different as changes in the number of blades and diameter of the hub. This is varied due to motor rotation, head values, flow discharges and much more. Research using simulations has the disadvantage that the process is quite long and also requires high hardware specifications.
