Abstract

Consumer satisfaction in getting products is a priority in maintaining consumers. Demand from consumers is a natural thing especially not all products have the same peculiarities. Factors of disability that can damage the quality of the product must be minimized. This was also done by PT. DC in maintaining consumer confidence. PT. DC is a manufacturing company that caters to industrial demand for production or repair of water pumps. Therefore it is not uncommon to find certain requests from consumers such as water pumps that are used to encourage oil flow. This research is assisted with several tools used to determine the defects in the fabrication process so that it can be approached by the Taguchi method which is taken as a step to maintain the quality of the fabrication process carried out by PT. DC Getting optimal results from the Taguchi experiment results and confirmation are important to improve the quality of the product. Based on the results of data processing from the Taguchi experiment and confirmation it was found that the optimal conditions for obtaining an optimum design efficiency were the experiments carried out with a pump power of 15.4 Kw and a motor power of 19.6 Kw.
