Abstract
Digital transformation has changed the way people access information, including animal health information. According to We Are Social and Meltwater (2025), the number of internet users in Indonesia reached 212 million, representing 74.6% of the total population. This condition indicates that animal health information-seeking behavior has the potential to influence trust in information and rabies vaccination readiness among cat owners in the X social media community @kochengfs. This study aims to examine the effect of animal health information-seeking behavior on trust in information and rabies vaccination readiness. Wilson's Information Behaviour Theory serves as the theoretical foundation, explaining that information needs motivate individuals to seek and use information as a basis for decision-making. This study employed a quantitative explanatory approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 425 respondents using purposive sampling and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The results indicate that animal health information-seeking behavior has a positive and significant effect on both trust in information and rabies vaccination readiness. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that animal health information-seeking behavior plays an important role in fostering trust in information while simultaneously enhancing rabies vaccination readiness within the X social media community @kochengfs. These findings suggest that animal health information-seeking behavior is an important factor in strengthening trust in animal health information, which ultimately supports cat owners' readiness to vaccinate their cats against rabies.
