Abstract
Inventory is an essential asset in pharmaceutical retail that supports operational continuity and customer service. Apotek P02 experiences overstock in the vitamin and supplement subcategory due to the large number of Stock Keeping Units, fluctuating demand patterns, and the absence of a structured inventory management system. This study aims to develop a structured inventory planning approach to improve inventory control. The research began with the ABC-FSN classification to identify priority products, followed by demand forecasting using the Weighted Moving Average and Single Exponential Smoothing methods. Forecasting accuracy was evaluated using Mean Absolute Deviation, Mean Squared Error, and Mean Absolute Scaled Error, and verified using Tracking Signal. The Min-Max Stock method was then applied to determine Safety Stock, Minimum Stock, and Maximum Stock. The results identified 10 A-Fast Moving products as priority items. The best forecasting method for each product was selected based on the accuracy evaluation, and all forecasting results remained within the control limits. The proposed inventory policies based on 90%, 95%, and 99% service levels are expected to help Apotek P02 reduce the risk of overstock and stockout while maintaining product availability.
