Abstract
Smoking among adolescents remains a public health problem that affects both individual and environmental health. One effort to address this issue is the implementation of the Smoke-Free Area Policy in schools. However, violations of this policy are still found at SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bekasi. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and policy socialization and students' compliance with the Smoke-Free Area Policy. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 79 students from Grade X and Grade XI of the Computer and Network Engineering program, selected using proportionate random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed through univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-Square test. The results showed that most students had good knowledge (94.9%), positive attitudes (94.9%), good policy socialization (83.5%), and complied with the Smoke-Free Area Policy (78.5%). Knowledge was significantly associated with students' compliance (p = 0.030), whereas attitudes (p = 0.201) and policy socialization (p = 0.461) were not. Strengthening students' knowledge of the Smoke-Free Area Policy is necessary to improve compliance within the school environment.
