Abstract
University students tend to ignore nutritional content and consume a limited variety of foods, resulting in low dietary quality. Low dietary quality can be influenced by several factors, such as malnutrition, high Korean wave exposure, and negative body image. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional status, Korean wave exposure, and body image with the dietary quality of university students in Depok exposed to the Korean wave. This study used an observational cross-sectional research design with voluntary quota sampling followed by snowball sampling to determine the relationship between nutritional status, Korean wave exposure, and body image with dietary quality in university students in Depok exposed to the Korean wave. This study involved 128 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the Chi-Square test & Fisher's Exact Test. The results showed that nutritional status, duration of Korean wave exposure, and body image were related to the dietary quality of students in Depok City exposed to the Korean wave (p < 0.05). University students who are fans of Korean culture are suggested not to follow various negative eating habits such as dieting without considering various aspects that can affect dietary quality.
