Abstract

Digital waqf has great potential to support community welfare, yet its realization remains far below its potential. In DKI Jakarta, Generation Z has the highest internet usage rate but their participation in digital waqf remains limited. This condition is presumed to result from uneven waqf literacy, inconsistent transparency among waqf institutions, and inadequate platform usability. This study examines the effects of waqf literacy, transparency, and ease of platform use on the intention to perform waqf through digital platforms among Generation Z in DKI Jakarta using a quantitative approach with PLS-SEM and purposive sampling. The findings indicate that all three independent variables positively and significantly influence digital waqf intention. Waqf literacy enhances understanding of waqf, transparency strengthens public trust through open waqf fund management, while ease of use is the strongest determinant because Generation Z prioritizes practical and responsive digital services. These findings highlight the importance of improving literacy, transparency, and platform accessibility to encourage greater participation in digital waqf among Generation Z in DKI Jakarta.
