Abstract

Background: Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction is a surgical procedure to transplant the ACL with tendon tissue to restore the fixation and stabilization function of the joint. The initial condition in patients after ACL reconstruction causes several complications such as limited range of joint motion, experiencing pain, and weakness of muscle strength in the Knee joint. Objective: This case study aims to determine the management of physiotherapy in post-reconstruction cases of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Phase 1. Research Method: A method that used a case study with a male patient aged 22 years on February 16 – March 6, 2026 at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital, using TENS, Ultrasound, Heel Slide, Quadriceps Setting, Wall Slide, Pattelar Mobilization interventions aimed at reducing pain, increasing the range of joint motion, and increasing muscle strength and functional improvement of KOOS. Results: The results of the study showed improvement after four physiotherapy interventions and evaluations, namely a decrease in pain, an increase in joint range of motion and muscle strength, and an improvement in the functional KOOS. Conclusion: In patients with Post Reconstruction Anterior Cruciate Ligament Dextra, pain examination was carried out using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), muscle strength using Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), joint range of motion using goniometer, and Knee function using Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), and the interventions used were in the form of TENS, Ultrasound, Heel Slide, Wall Slide, Quadriceps Setting, Patellar Mobilization.
