Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever or DHF for short is a disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Common symptoms include high fever, muscle pain, joint pain, nausea, skin rashes, and in some cases can cause serious complications such as severe bleeding or dengue shock syndrome which can lead to death. School-age children are highly susceptible to DHF transmission, the incidence of DHF is influenced by factors such as education, sanitation, knowledge of symptoms, and public perception of DHF affecting the occurrence of the disease. Method: This paper uses a case study design to evaluate nursing care for An. K with DHF at South Tangerang City Hospital. The approach used is a nursing approach that includes nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing intervention, nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. Results: The diagnoses resulting from the assessment are hypovolemia, risk of bleeding, hyperthermia, and risk of nutritional deficit, with interventions for hypovolemia management, prevention of bleeding, hyperthermia management, and nutritional management. Implementation is carried out for 3x24 hours. The evaluation was completed according to the implementation. Conclusion: Implementing appropriate interventions can help effectively address hypovolemia, the risk of bleeding, hyperthermia, and the risk of nutritional deficits.
