Abstract
The traditional wife (tradwife) phenomenon popularized through Ballerina Farm's social media content has sparked global debates about women's gender roles, including in Indonesia. This content presents an aesthetically curated full-time homemaker lifestyle that potentially reinforces patriarchal constructions deeply embedded in local culture. This study aims to understand how Indonesian feminist activists perceive the tradwife concept promoted by Ballerina Farm. This research applies Standpoint Theory, which emphasizes that knowledge is shaped by one's social position and lived experience. A qualitative method with in-depth interviews was employed, involving five Indonesian feminist activists as informants. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, yielding six major themes. The findings indicate that informants' perceptions were significantly shaped by their personal experiences of gender discrimination and activism. All informants perceived Ballerina Farm's content as a medium that reinforces patriarchal values, normalizes economic privilege as a universal standard, and potentially undermines Indonesian women's feminist consciousness.
