Abstract
This study employed a quantitative method and was conducted at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Central Jakarta with the objective of objectively measuring the relationships among variables through numerical data. The purpose of this study was to identify and examine the effects of employee engagement, work– life balance, and work motivation on employee job satisfaction. The research sample consisted of 80 respondents selected using a total sampling technique, in which all members of the population were included as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires developed based on the indicators of each research variable. The collected data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS version 4.0, which was chosen for its ability to simultaneously analyze relationships among latent variables and its suitability for relatively small sample sizes. The results of the study indicate that employee engagement does not have a significant effect on job satisfaction. In contrast, work–life balance and work motivation have significant effects on job satisfaction, highlighting the importance of balancing work and personal life as well as enhancing employee motivation to improve job satisfaction.
