Abstract
Infant development is a crucial period that affects the quality of a child's future growth and development. Monitoring infant development is necessary to detect developmental barriers, including through KPSP. However, the implementation of infant development monitoring at health posts is still limited by a lack of knowledge in understanding and using KPSP, which can result in suboptimal early detection of infant developmental disorders. This study aims to analyze the effect of health education on the knowledge of posyandu health cadres regarding infant development monitoring using KPSP. This study uses a quasi-experimental design through a pre-test and post-test control group approach. There were 36 participants. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test for paired groups and the Mann-Whitney test for unpaired groups. The results of this study showed a significant increase in the knowledge of cadres about monitoring infant development, with a p-value of 0.017 This study shows that health education has an effect on the knowledge of posyandu health cadres about monitoring infant development. This study is expected to be carried out continuously as part of efforts to increase the capacity of posyandu health cadres. Further research is recommended to develop various educational methods and media to increase knowledge.
