Abstract
During the administration of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), several policies were deemed inconsistent with the ideals of reform. Allegations of abuse of power emerged as President Jokowi's second term ended, including the establishment of a political dynasty, declining civil liberties, and efforts to weaken anti-corruption institutions. The purpose of this study was to determine allegations of abuse of power by President Jokowi during the 2019-2024 period. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a questionnaire survey supported by expert opinion. The results showed that the public approved of the practice of abuse of power, consisting of indicators such as political dynasty, weakening of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and civil liberties. This study concluded that President Jokowi's leadership was perceived as strong and effective in decision-making, but also had a tendency towards power dominance that could potentially undermine the quality of substantive democracy.
