Abstract
This research analyzes the application of the Economic Order Quantity or EOQ and Just In Time or JIT methods in raw material inventory control at PT Putra Hatim Mandiri for the period of 2022 to 2024 using a descriptive quantitative approach. The results indicate that in 2022 the JIT method provided an efficiency of 59.59 percent for SPHC Plate and 69.93 percent for SAPH 440 Plate which was significantly higher than the EOQ method with efficiencies of 24.53 percent and 28 percent respectively. In 2023 the efficiency of the JIT method was recorded at 67.39 percent for SPHC Plate and 68.71 percent for SAPH 440 Plate while the EOQ method provided savings of 27.08 percent and 30.05 percent. Entering 2024 the JIT method reached an efficiency level of 68.97 percent for SPHC Plate and 69.71 percent for SAPH 440 Plate while the EOQ method provided efficiencies of 30.61 percent and 32.26 percent. Overall the application of JIT is proven to be the most optimal in reducing annual inventory costs because it is able to minimize stock accumulation more significantly than the EOQ method or the current actual company policy thereby supporting smooth working capital flow and operational efficiency in automotive manufacturing.
