Abstract

This research proposes and implements a web-based Service Desk system designed to address issues in reporting and managing technical and non-technical problems within the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ). The main identified problems include the absence of an integrated complaint system, inefficient response to issues, minimal dissemination of information regarding available services, and limited accessibility due to manual reporting methods or undocumented communication. This Service Desk system is built using Next.js for both frontend and backend, leveraging Server Actions for server-side logic, Prisma ORM for database interaction, and security implementations such as JWT and HTTP-Only Cookies. The testing methodology involves Black Box Testing to verify functionality and User Acceptance Test (UAT) to ensure the system's compliance with user needs and expectations across various roles: students, lecturers, staff, technicians, and administrators. The testing results indicate that the system successfully provides an effective centralized platform for recording, tracking, and resolving problem reports, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and service transparency.
