Abstract
Objective Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability and often affects various aspects of patients’ lives, including sexual function. Among post-stroke women, disturbances such as decreased desire, reduced lubrication, and difficulty achieving orgasm can diminish quality of life. However, issues related to sexual function in female post stroke patients remain understudied and are often overlooked due to cultural taboos. This study aims to describe the sexual function of productive-age post stroke women at Jakarta Islamic Hospital Pondok Kopi in 2025. Method This study is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. The samples were productive-age female post-stroke patients selected using a purposive sampling method. Data were collected using the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) questionnaire. Result A total of 24 productive-age female post-stroke patients participated in this study. Most respondents were in late adulthood and had a senior high school education. The mean total FSFI score was 22.59. The majority of respondents experienced sexual dysfunction, accounting for 79.2%. Conclusion This study shows that the majority of productive-age female post-stroke patients experience sexual dysfunction, indicating that sexual function should receive greater attention in post-stroke evaluation.
