Abstract
ABSTRACT Objective: This study was conducted to examine the effects of physical activity, nutritional status, and sleep quantity on the intelligence levels of girls aged 9 – 12 years at SDN 04 Bojongsari, Depok. Method: A cross-sectional study design was used. A total of 34 girls aged 9 – 12 years at SDN 04 Bojongsari, Depok participated as respondents in 2025. Intelligence levels were assessed using an IQ test; data on physical activity and sleep quantity were collected through questionnaires, while nutritional status was determined based on weight and height measurements. Result: The results showed that most of the children’s intelligence levels were classified as below average (32.4%), physical activity levels were predominantly good (50%), nutritional status was generally normal (64.7%), and sleep quantity was largely inadequate (88.2%). However, the present study did not reveal any significant relationship or effect of physical activity, nutritional status, or sleep quantity on the intelligence levels of girls aged 9 – 12 years at SDN 04 Bojongsari, Depok. Conclusion: The study indicated that there was no significant relationship or effect of physical activity, nutritional status, and sleep quantity on the intelligence levels of girls aged 9 – 12 years at SDN 04 Bojongsari, Depok. Intelligence may be influenced by other factors beyond the variables examined in this study, such as genetic factors, family socioeconomic conditions, parenting patterns, and the broader environment in which children develop.
