Abstract

Introduction: Primary headache is one of the most common neurological complaints in the adult population and may be influenced by several factors, including sleep quality and gadget use. Methods: This research was an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. A total of 34 selected using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square/Fisher’s Exact Test. Results: Most respondents had moderate levels of gadget use (94.2%) and good sleep quality (52.9%). Migraines were experienced by 64.7% of respondents, while tension-type headache occurred in 94.1% of respondents. There was no significant association between gadget use and migraine (p = 0.353) or tension-type headache (p = 0.059). Likewise, sleep quality showed no significant association with migraine (p = 0.236) or tension-type headache (p = 1.000). Conclusion: Gadget use and sleep quality do not have significant associations with the incidence of primary headaches among educational staff.
