Abstract
This study discusses the cooperation between the City of Jakarta, Indonesia, and the City of Tokyo, Japan, in the field of culture. The Sister City cooperation between Jakarta and Tokyo is a form of inter-city government collaboration aimed at enhanging bilateral relations, with a focus on culture exchange. This research examines the implementation of culture cooperation between Jakarta and Tokyo from 2018 to 2022. A descriptive qualitative method and literature study technique are used to address the research questions. In conducting the analysis, the researcher applies the concepts of Sister City and Paradiplomacy. The result of the study indicate that the cooperation between Jakarta and Tokyo has proceeded well, as there have been annual cultural collaboration programs and even intensive discussions for future cooperation.
