Abstract
ABSTRACT The Muslim Friendly Tourism policy is an effort by the South Korean Government to diversify the tourism market that is too dependent on Chinese tourists. The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is actively promoting Muslim-friendly tourism, especially in Indonesia. However, the negative perception of the Indonesian people towards Korea, which seems anti-Muslim, is a challenge for KTO to improve its country's image. Moreover, the pandemic that occurred also hampered KTO's public diplomacy efforts. This research will discuss KTO's public diplomacy strategy through digital media during the 2020-2022 pandemic. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method where the data and facts that have been obtained are then processed and presented descriptively. This research found that during the pandemic, KTO was active in conducting digital public diplomacy through Instagram and Youtube. The use of digital media is considered effective in disseminating information about Korean Muslim Friendly Tourism. Keywords: Public Diplomacy, Digital Diplomacy, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO)
