Abstract

Learning achievement is an indicator of competency obtained by students as a result of the learning stages that has been undertaken in a certain period of time. Learning achievement is a determining factor of a person's success. Internal and external factors influence learning achievement. Internal factors include physiological factors (nutritional status, nutrient consumption, and breakfast habit). The basic cause of these factors is a person's nutritional knowledge. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge, breakfast consumption patterns, and nutritional status with learning achievement among students at SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta. This study uses an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional design. The study population was 178 students with a sample of 148 students in grades X and XI using a purposive sampling technique. Statistical analysis was carried out using the chi-square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between nutritional knowledge (p=0.001), breakfast habits (p=0.034), energy (p=0.025), protein (p=0.018), fat (p=0.028), carbohydrates (p=0.004), and nutritional status (p=0.031). This shows that there is a relationship between nutritional knowledge, breakfast consumption patterns, and nutritional status with learning achievement among students at SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta.
