Abstract

The nomination of regional heads is a central thing to be the beginning in the strategic side of the party, but in a democratic country there is a core journey that is called political dynamics. This research aims to see the influence of political dynamics that affect the NasDem party. By using qualitative research methods by interviewing 3 people who have important data as a reference source. There are several indicators such as what influences are brought by external and internal from the NasDem party that can affect the dynamics of Anies Baswedan's candidacy. By using the theory of political parties from Maurice Duverger and the concept of political recruitment from Pippa Noris to answer the results the research. The results showed that there were internal and external influences that affected the NasDem party in attracting support for Anies Baswedan. The internal influence is from party cadres who are too fast in nominating Anies Baswedan, NasDem also received pressure from External, namely KIM Plus, which forced NasDem to withdraw Anies Baswedan in the 2024 DKI elections and this had an effect on NasDem itself. This research is expected to contribute to the development of political science on the dynamics and technical models of parties in nominating and withdrawing support.
