Abstract
Work fatigue resulting from high mental and physical workloads can negatively impact employee performance and well-being. This study aims to analyze the influence of mental and physical workloads on work fatigue among 30 employees in the Warehouse Department of PT. XYZ. The research employed NASA-TLX to measure mental workload, Cardiovascular Load (CVL) to measure physical workload, and the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) method to measure fatigue levels, with multiple linier regression analysis used to examine the relationship between workload and fatigue. The results showed that high mental workload was experienced by checker and warehouse administration. High physical workload was experienced by forklift operators and laborers. Meanwhile, high levels of fatigue were experienced by laborers. Statistical tests demonstrated that mental and physical workloads simultaneously had a significant effect on work fatigue with a significance value (0.040) < α (0.05). However, partially, only mental workload significantly affected work fatigue (0.034) < α (0.05), while physical workload did not significantly affect work fatigue (0.096) > α (0.05). Proposed improvements, including job rotation, digital system optimization, training programs, stress management programs, supervision of handling tools, and pre work stretching.
