Abstract
This study aims to analyze the optimization of sporting event management for economic growth and legal regulations regarding sporting events in Indonesia post-pandemic. Using a normative-juridical method with a qualitative approach, this study examines relevant legal norms, such as the Indonesian Sports Law, regarding the country's economic impact on sporting events. Data were obtained from primary and secondary legal sources, as well as interviews to understand the factors of economic growth through the sports industry. The results of this study indicate that the influence of sporting events on economic growth in Indonesia post pandemic has not been fully accommodated by existing regulations. To date, the government and several sectors collaborating to boost economic growth in Indonesia have not maximized existing opportunities. However, with weak implementation of regulations, even though provisions regarding sporting events have been written into law, inaccurate implementation can hamper economic growth, and the occurrence of individuals violating and damaging existing facilities, as well as budget inefficiencies in 2025, which also impact the organization of sporting events. This study recommends that the government, private sector, and the community collaborate in improving infrastructure evenly and maintaining and building both local and international appeal through the sports industry so that it becomes a source of foreign exchange for the country like developed countries.
