Abstract
Drug Information Services (DIS) are a vital element of hospital pharmacy services that aim to educate patients on the rational use of drugs. However, in Indonesia, DIS still faces obstacles, such as low patient knowledge about their drugs, which impacts patient safety and satisfaction. Previous research has revealed a gap between patients' expectations and the reality of the medication information services they receive, resulting in suboptimal patient satisfaction. To address this gap, this study investigates the relationship between PIO and patient satisfaction among outpatients using BPJS at the Pharmacy Department of Bhayangkara Brimob Kelapa Dua Hospital. The study employs a cross-sectional design with 110 respondents selected using accidental sampling. A questionnaire using the SERVQUAL approach was used as an instrument to measure medication information services and patient satisfaction. Data analysis used the Spearman correlation coefficient test, yielding a correlation coefficient of 0.229 (p = 0.016). Although the correlation is not very strong, this finding indicates a substantial relationship between PIO and patient satisfaction.
