Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Disability-Friendly TPS program provided by the DKI Jakarta KPU for the 2024 General Election, and to see what obstacles the DKI Jakarta KPU faces in implementing the program on voting day throughout the DKI Jakarta region. This study uses disability theory with a descriptive qualitative research method, and data collection in this study was obtained through various sources, namely interviews, documentation, journals, books, and articles. The results of this study found that at least the facilitation of people with disabilities at polling stations through the Implementation process of Disability-Friendly Polling Stations by the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU in the 2024 Election did not go well. This is based on the views of 4 (four) sources in the research, namely, the DKI Jakarta KPU, PERTUNI DPD DKI Jakarta, Bawaslu DKI Jakarta, and PERLUDEM. In general, the problems faced include limited land in DKI Jakarta to establish appropriate TPS to facilitate voters with disabilities to vote, understanding of KPPS regarding SOP for services for voters with disabilities, lack of Braille aids, lack of socialization conducted by KPU DKI Jakarta to people with disabilities, lack of coordination between KPU DKI Jakarta and Bawaslu DKI Jakarta in implementing this program, and KPU DKI Jakarta not involving organizations that support people with disabilities such as Pertuni in every stage of its implementation.
