Abstract
Cases of sexual harassment against women on public transportation show alarming and increasing numbers in the last 10 years. Buses are the location with the highest harassment rate, especially during peak hours. Although women have the right to access public facilities with a sense of security, they are still often victims of harassment. In an effort to reduce these cases, Transjakarta has provided a women-only Pink Bus service since 2016. This research aims to determine the significant impact of the Pink Bus policy on women's mobility. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was conducted with a feminist urban mobility perspective, paying attention to aspects of mobility, intersectionality, and inclusivity in dealing with sexual harassment. The pink bus is considered a temporary solution that does not solve the root causes of sexual harassment in public transportation. The research also identifies factors inhibiting the effectiveness of the Pink Bus policy, such as the limited number of fleets, uneven operating hours, lack of socialization and harassment cases that have actually increased despite the Pink Bus policy. The results of this research are expected to provide insights for the development of safer and more inclusive transportation policies for women.
