Abstract
This study explores how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and Intellectual Capital contribute to sustainable growth in the ASEAN-6 region (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam). The research adopts a quantitative approach using data from 85 companies in the ASEAN-6 countries between 2020 and 2022, with statistical analysis conducted using STATA 17. The main findings indicate that strong ESG implementation significantly enhances long-term competitiveness and firm performance, while Intellectual Capital drives efficiency, innovation, and human resource development, all of which contribute to sustainable growth. The study emphasizes that companies with robust ESG practices and well-managed Intellectual Capital are more likely to achieve superior sustainable growth and long-term success. Control variables such as firm size, firm age, and leverage are also found to influence firms' sustainable growth. This study extends existing insights by integrating ESG findings from China (Wang et al., 2022) and Intellectual Capital research from India (Balaji & Mamilla, 2024) into the ASEAN-6 context. As a baseline country, sustainable growth in Indonesia is still limited and uneven across sectors, thus reinforcing the urgency of strengthening ESG practices and developing intellectual capital, particularly in ASEAN-6 member countries.
