Abstract

Advances in information technology have encouraged increased efficiency and accessibility in public services through the implementation of various applications in government agencies. The number of applications scattered in various government agencies can cause system misalignment and duplication of functions in the application. These problems can be overcome by implementing a structured information system to support smooth operations, improve efficiency, and accelerate responses to technical problems that occur in the application. The main objective of this research is to design a website-based helpdesk information system to overcome technical problems that occur in the internal application of the Directorate of Road and Bridge Engineering. The helpdesk system was created using the Waterfall method by utilizing technologies such as MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and using the Laravel framework. Data analysis uses PIECES to evaluate system performance. The helpdesk system is tested with blackbox testing to ensure that each feature functions according to functional requirements. The results showed that the website-based helpdesk information system is able to facilitate real-time reporting and monitoring of technical constraints, improve efficiency, transparency, and report management. The implementation of this system is expected to support the improvement of service quality at the Directorate of Road and Bridge Engineering with a fast and organized response to the technical problems.
