Abstract
Nurses often experience work-related fatigue. The problem occurs due to a fairly high workload and also problems related to the lack of human resources in the work process. It was found that there were 7 nurses on duty at that time in the ICU room of Tarakan Hospital, Jakarta. Of the 7 nurses, 4 nurses (57.1%) experienced moderate fatigue and 3 nurses (42.9%) experienced severe fatigue, with this, the author aims to provide work fatigue management interventions for nurses by performing foot massage techniques as relaxation that can be given to nurses. In conducting a case study, the author distributed the Modified Fatigue Impact Scale (MFIS) questionnaire, then fatigue data was obtained and then the author provided an implementation in accordance with Evidence Based Nursing (EBN) foot massage therapy. This foot massage therapy is carried out for 15-30 minutes consisting of 6 steps in 1 session and lasts for 3 meetings. After the intervention was given to the nurses, the author distributed a post-test with the same questionnaire to see the picture of nurses' work fatigue after the therapy was given. The results of the post-test illustrate that there was a decrease in the level of fatigue with a difference of 44-55 from the results of the pre-test and post-test. With this, it is expected that foot massage intervention can overcome work fatigue in nurses.
