Abstract

The prevalence of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension continues to rise in Indonesia. Regular monitoring of blood glucose and blood pressure is essential for managing these conditions, yet many individuals face challenges in consistent self-monitoring. With the growing use of smartphones, mobile health applications offer a promising solution. This study aims to develop a mobile health journal application focused on monitoring blood glucose and blood pressure levels while providing personalized daily recommendations. The application was developed using the Waterfall method, with Android Studio, Kotlin, XML, and Firebase as the main technologies. The recommendation system applies a heuristic algorithm based on a Decision Tree to analyze user data such as glucose levels, blood pressure, age, and BMI. Core features include health data input, historical visualization, and daily recommendations. Testing was conducted through black-box methods and user validation. The results showed that the application functions stably, is user-friendly, and effectively assists users in understanding and managing their health independently. This application is intended for individuals with diabetes, prediabetes, or a genetic risk of diabetes, aiming to improve awareness and support more effective, data-driven health management.
