Abstract

This research aims to discuss the formation of civic politics in the mining route issues in the Bogor Regency area (Case Study of Parung Panjang, Rumpin, and Gunung Sindur Subdistricts) by using the theory of Civic Politics (Kristian Stokke, 2018). The method used is qualitative with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques were carried out using data triangulation techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The final results of this research show that the distribution activities of mining goods in Bogor Regency have had a negative impact on the local community and environment, resulting in violations of several basic rights of the community in Rumpin, Parung Panjang, and Gunung Sindur Subdistricts, which then led to the formation of a community movement alliance called the Mining Route Movement Alliance (AGJT) to fight for their rights. The efforts made by the local community align with Stokke's (2018) definition of civic politics and have successfully had a political impact. Furthermore, it is also concluded that the government has violated the human rights of the local people.
